Blackburn Lead Race To Sign Carson

Blackburn Rovers are close to signing Scott Carson from Liverpool.

Reports are suggesting that Paul Ince is ready to sign Carson after accepting a bid from Manchester City for Brad Friedel.

Ince stated yesterday that their American International was staying put at Ewood Park but reports in today's papers suggest otherwise. The Lancashire club look to have accepted a bid from old boss Mark Hughes for the stopper.

Hopes of Boro getting a decent keeper in before the start of the season look to have faded now.

Oh well, we'll just have to put up with the average flappers we have.
