Letting Ourselves Down On The Pitch
We were 1-0 up against Portsmouth a couple of weeks ago and went on to lose 2-1 after conceding late goals.
Against Sunderland we were the better side for the majority and had the chances to win easily, but threw it away late on.
And last night we got ourselves back into the game against Manchester Utd, but then we shot ourselves in the foot by going down to ten men.
When are these turning points in games going to actually go our way. We seem to be giving in to teams too easily.
The football we are playing is great and we look like world beaters at times, but playing pretty football doesn't win us football matches.
We are creating chance after chance but are failing to score. Southgate needs to start dropping players that are not hitting the back of net.
Alves cost us a lot of money and has returned only one goal so far this season for the team. The boss should let Afonso know that he is not the main man in the team and drop him for a couple of games.
If Mido didn't limp out of the warm-up on Saturday I'm sure Alves would have been dropped for a couple of games. Surely he must have known the Boro boss intended to drop him.
We play West Brom on Saturday and a win is a must for us at this stage. We don't want to be flagging at the bottom of the table after a great start. If we lose this game we will have lost all our confidence.

The game is 90 minutes & usually the best team wins.

Storagematt.. yeah you are right to an extent but the Boro Sunderland game was never a 2-0 to Sunderland if you look at the "best team winning". Even Sunderland fans agree they got three lucky points.

Football is a lot like darts. It doesn't matter how many beautifully constructed 180s you get, its the bloke that hits the double at the end that wins. We had a higher average than the mackems but they got the finish while we were still left with double 1.

Mido should be back for the West Brom game. Alves was rubbish because he needs to play with a strike partner. He can't play as a lone striker.

yeah slaven is so right alves need a playmaker for him he cant afford him self the chances i think now AJ+ MIDO IS THE BEST FOR US then few weeks TUNCAY + MIDO is the best for us

Got to ditch Alves for a few games, he has been useless all season. Try AJ or Emnes with Mido until Tuncay gets back.

We are nowhere near resilient enough, Gareth needs to get this sorted quick or we are gonna have another relegation fight. Downing needs to hurry up and start performing otherwise hes going to blow his chances of a big move and end up having to stay at boro lol
