Brad Jones signs for Liverpool

Middlesbrough goalkeeper Brad Jones has finally completed a 2.3m move to Liverpool.

The 28-year-old Australian international signed today after travelling up to Merseyside for a medical.

An added bonus for new Anfield boss Roy Hodgson is that Jones will qualify as a 'homegrown' player after originally joining Boro from Australian amateurs Bayswater City.

He went on to complete 75 senior appearances for the Teessiders and also had loan spells at Blackpool, Rotherham United, Stockport County and Sheffield Wednesday.
