Striker rejects move away
Middlesbrough striker Scott McDonald has turned down another approach to move to Saudi Arabia, according to reports.
Al-Hilal had shown an interest in the 28-year-old but their advances were rejected at the end of the season. Since then Jeddah-based Al-Ittihad have also made an enquiry and keen to reduce their outgoings, Boro weren't standing in his way. But McDonald wasn't prepared to move.
The Australian international still has a couple of years left on his current deal and is believed to be one of the highest earners at the Riverside.
Boro manager Tony Mowbray has already said that there must be departures from the club and a reduction in wage levels before he can properly strengthen his squad.
