Boro ready to sell
Middlesbrough are ready to sell Scottish international defender Stephen McManus to Bristol City.
The former Celtic stopper spent the second half of last season on loan at Ashton Gate until being called back following a defensive injury crisis at Boro.
The Teessiders originally paid £1.5m for his services two years ago but would only expect to receive a fraction of that back in return.
However, it would release one of the higher wage-earners at the club from the payroll and free crucial finances towards adding to their squad.
