Boro in need of keeper
Middlesbrough manager Tony Mowbray's search for a goalkeeper has increased after Connor Ripley's call-up for England.
First-choice Jason Steele is expected to be named in the Team GB squad for the forthcoming Olympic Games, leaving Boro down to just a solitary senior keeper during pre-season.
Ripley will also be representing his country in the Under-19 European Championship held in Latvia from July 3-15. Meanwhile, Boro's preparations commence during this time on 5th July and five weeks before their opening game against Bury in the Capital One Cup.
Team GB have their opening warm-up game against Brazil at the Riverside on 20th July - and Mowbray will therefore require additional cover for his absentees during pre-season, particularly following the recent departure of Danny Coyne.
