Former striker joins Tykes
Middlesbrough are set to face former striker Mido on the opening day of the new season after completing his move to Barnsley.
The 29-year-old has arrived on a free transfer after signing a one-year deal with the option of a second. He agreed terms at Oakwell last week following his recent departure from Egyptian club Zamalek.
Mido has previously had spells at Tottenham Hotspur, Gent, Ajax, Celta Vigo, Marseille and Roma during a much-travelled career.
Boro are to visit Barnsley for their season-opener on 18th August.
