Olympian Steele makes final squad

Middlesbrough goalkeeper Jason Steele has been included in the final eighteen-man squad for the London Olympics.

Coach Stuart Pearce revealed his choice today and named Ryan Giggs, Craig Bellamy and Micah Richards as his three over-age players, which means there is definitely no place for David Beckham.

Team GB start their preparations for the tournament with a friendly against Brazil at the Riverside on Friday 20th July.

Their actual campaign starts at Old Trafford against Senegal on 26th July, followed by the United Arab Emirates at Wembley on 29th July before their final group game against Uruguay at the Millennium Stadium on 1st August.
