Boro signing promises goals

New signing Emmnanuel Ledesma believes he can offer both creativity and scoring power to Middlesbrough.

The 24-year-old signed a three-year contract with Boro earlier this week after leaving League One side Walsall.

He originally progressed with Genoa in Italy and has had loan periods with several clubs, including Queens Park Rangers - also playing briefly in homeland Argentina in between recent spells at Walsall.

"The transfer has taken a long time but I'm very happy it's complete," Ledesma told the Evening Gazette. "I'm very happy to be here because it's a big team and a big club. I'm passionate about football and I love the game.

"I'm fast and I enjoy dribbling and like to pass the ball to the central striker to score," he added. "But I also like to score goals myself. I scored a hat-trick in the League Cup for QPR and now I want to score many more goals for Middlesbrough."
