Defender plans many happy returns
Defender Stuart Parnaby has promised to prove the critics wrong after returning to Middlesbrough.
The 30-year-old has been out of the game since leaving Birmingham City in June of last year, until signing a two-year deal at the Riverside.
And Parnaby is determined to repay the faith shown in him by Boro manager Tony Mowbray and become a valuable acquisition at the back.
"I've kept myself in good nick over the past year, I've trained without any problems," Parnaby told the Evening Gazette. "Apart from when I once came back with Birmingham, the Middlesbrough fans haven't seen me play for five years.
"I think I've just got to take that in my stride and let my football do the talking," he continued. "I'm comfortable with my ability and what I can do and give to the team and if I get that chance on a Saturday I will hopefully prove it."
