Focus back on Boro for keeper

Goalkeeper Jason Steele is back and fully focused on promotion with Middlesbrough after the thrill of the London Olympics.

The 21-year-old returned for half of the friendly at Scunthorpe United last night following service as back-up to Birmingham City's Jack Butland in the Great Britain Olympics team.

"The gaffer pulled me and asked me if I wanted to play against Scunthorpe, I didn't even have to think about it." Steele told the
Northern Echo. "It felt good to be out there and making a few saves. It has given me my spring back straight away."

Despite not actually making an appearance in the London spectacular, the Boro keeper says it's an experience he will never forget.

"It's good to be back," he added. "It's been an amazing experience to be a part of Team GB, great to say we have been on the same team as guys like Chris Hoy, Jess Ennis and Mo Farah. Now it's all about Middlesbrough again. I can't wait."
