Bennett nearing return
Middlesbrough manager Tony Mowbray hopes to soon be able to call upon the highly-rated Joe Bennett, who is back in training following a recent knee injury.
However, that call will only come when the England Under-21 international is properly fit and ready for regular action. As such this weekend will probably arrive too early for him.
"He has trained in the last few days and looks fine," Mowbray told the Evening Gazette. "He's a great talent, with fast feet, and we are pleased to have him back in training. We'll assess him before the game."
Boro are also carefully monitoring the progress of Julio Arca, Faris Haroun and Seb Hines after returning to training while striker Lukas Jutkiewicz is currently recovering from a minor knee operation.
