Boro battle for striker
Middlesbrough and Blackpool are reportedly battling it out for Nottingham Forest striker Ishmael Miller.
Forest manager Sean O'Driscoll is ready to allow the 25-year-old marksman to leave the club after recently snapping up Simon Cox from West Bromwich Albion.
Miller is already well-known to Boro boss Tony Mowbray having previously served under him at the Hawthorns.
But Mowbray faces plenty of competition for his services, with Blackpool and a couple more unnamed Championship club still very much in the mix.
The Teessiders had also been considering moving for free agent Ricardo Fuller, 32, following his release from Stoke City. But he has since signed a one-year deal for Championship newcomers Charlton Athletic.
