Striker delighted at Boro move

Striker Ishmael Miller says he is absolutely delighted to be joining Middlesbrough on loan for the rest of the season.

The 25-year-old arrives from Nottingham Forest following earlier spells in his career at Queens Park Rangers, West Bromwich Albion and Manchester City.

But it was at Albion where Miller, who stands at 6 feet 3 inches tall, first came under the leadership of Boro boss Tony Mowbray following a £1.4m move in January 2008 and after a successful loan.

"I'm very happy and excited to be reunited with Tony Mowbray and Mark Venus," he told Boro's official website. "Tony gave me my first shot of playing regular first-team football and I will always be grateful to him for that. Playing for Tony was the best time of my career so far."

Miller goes straight into the squad for the weekend visit of Crystal Palace to the Riverside.
