Average so far - Mowbray

Manager Tony Mowbray says it's still very much work in progress at Middlesbrough following their opening four league games.

Boro's start has so far proved reasonably solid if rather unspectacular after winning each of their home games but losing both on their travels.

Their revamped squad now heads into the two-week international break searching for the type of consistency that will again see them challenging towards the top of the table.

"You would have to say our start to the season has been average," Mowbray admitted to the Evening Gzette. "In the two away games we would have hoped to be picking up points and yet we've got no points from them.

"And yet we've won two games at home. It's a bit of a turn on its head from last season," he added. "There have been a lot of changes and it's a different team. It might take time for us to all gel in and we have to keep working away."
