We're missing duo says Mowbray
Manager Tony Mowbray has conceded his side are missing sidelined midfield pair Nicky Bailey and Kevin Thomson.
Their absences have left Boro without a recognised defensive midfielder and, Mowbray believes, sometimes appearing rather exposed at the back.
The Teessiders have also recently lost the influence of skipper Rhys Williams, who is set to remain out of action until the New Year.
But in a major boost elsewhere, striker Lukas Jutkiewicz completed a goalscoring return for the development squad earlier this week.
"It has been a bit frustrating with some of the injuries to key players," Mowbray told the Northern Echo. "Millwall away has got Nicky Bailey written all over it and yet he wasn't available.
"Kevin has been through the whole of pre-season fit then got himself injuries and he's been a loss to us, as has Rhys," he continued. "Fingers crossed Juke and Thomo are not far away. When we return from the international break Bailey will be two weeks closer to a return."
