Boro need home comfort

Defender Seb Hines says Middlesbrough's home form this season will be very important if they are to once again challenge for promotion.

Boro narrowly missed out on the play-offs last season and mainly due to their failure in front of their own supporters as a number of drawn games eventually cost them.

They have at least begun more positively this time around with successive home wins against Burnley and Crystal Palace.

"We all know that our form at the Riverside let us down last year and that we have to put it right this season," Hines told the Evening Gazette. "So starting the season with two good wins against sides that are difficult to play against can only help us.

If you have dropped points away from home it is important to know you have a great record at home and you can make up lost ground," he added. "It gives you momentum and that is massively important if you have any ambitions in this league."
