No excuses from Mowbray
Manager Tony Mowbray had no excuses after Middlesbrough's poor away form was maintained in a disappointing 4-1 defeat at Blackpool.
Two goals in each half for the impressive hosts marked a third straight loss on their travels for opponents who are next at leaders Blackburn Rovers on Friday evening.
New signing Andre Bikey netted in only his second appearance for the visitors but the Seasiders were always a constant threat and good value for their win.
"We are all in this together, they need to all sit there and feel that defeat, feel that performance," Mowbray told the Northern Echo. "There is a 'no excuse' culture in this squad. We all know that to get where we want then there is damn hard work required. Together we must move on.
"We have another opportunity on Friday against another very good team who sit above Blackpool in the Championship," he added. "We will have to go there and see if we can react."
