Mowbray looking ahead

There won't be any panic following the comprehensive midweek defeat at Blackpool according to Middlesbrough manager Tony Mowbray.

The Boro chief was instead calling for focus and mental strength from his players ahead of the trip to leaders Blackburn Rovers tomorrow evening.

An impressive Blackpool side ran out comfortable 4-1 winners at Bloomfield Road, which brought about a third straight away defeat for their opponents.

"It's disappointing, frustrating to feel we were beaten by a better team on Tuesday night," Mowbray admitted to the Northern Echo. "It's annoying to think like that.

"There will be times when that happens over the course of a season, though," he added. "There will be other times when we are on top, totally dominant and let's just keep going, one defeat doesn't make for a bad season. We just have to look ahead and look to improve, this is still a relatively new squad here."
