Big things expected from striker
Manager Tony Mowbray remains certain that striker Lukas Jutkiewicz will prove a major force at Middlesbrough this season.
The 23-year-old could get his first start of the season at table-topping Blackburn Rovers tomorrow evening following a couple of substitute appearances since his return to action.
"I'm sure he's going to be a big player for us this year," Mowbray told the Evening Gazette. "He's seen the competition come in, he's seen Ledesma come in, he's seen Miller come in, he's seen the emergence of Luke Williams and he's desperate to make an impact.
"We have to pick the right time to play him because he's one of those players, as we saw when he first came, who gives everything," he continued. "He puts in every ounce of energy and effort, sometimes to his own detriment, running around and chasing about and throwing himself into everything."
Jutkiewicz originally joined the Teessiders in a £1.6m deal from Coventry City at the start of the year but has spent much of the time
since out with a knee injury.
