Mowbray keeps a lid on it
Middlesbrough manager Tony Mowbray certainly won't be getting carried away by the improved form of his side.
Boro surged into the top three in the table courtesy of their third successive victory against Hull City.
And they can now look to further consolidate that run with another home game against Bolton Wanderers at the weekend, when a further success could see them sharing the leadership.
"It is really about accumulating points, wherever we are doesn't matter, although the players can look at the league table and get a boost," Mowbray told the Northern Echo. "But until Christmas and New Year you have to be up there to compete.
"It is when final placings are handed out that matters," he warned. "We are trying to win matches and we have another three points."
