We're getting there - Mowbray
As Middlesbrough manager Tony Mowbray draws towards his second anniversary in charge, he admits to getting closer to something like the finished product at the Riverside.
Mowbray achieved his first task by keeping Boro in the Championship after replacing predecessor Gordon Strachan in October 2010. He then steered them to seventh as they narrowly missed out on the play-offs in his first full season.
Boro are currently third in the table this time around following three successive victories, including two away from home. Indeed the emerging Teessiders have won each of their previous four games in all competitions on their travels over recent weeks.
"I don't think we have a long, long way to go now," Mowbray told the Evening Gazette. "I don't want to make the financial situation an issue but would I like to get another Carayol-type player so that when he's injured I'm not talking about him because the other guy is doing the same thing for the team."
