Tough draw concedes Mowbray

Middlesbrough manager Tony Mowbray was expecting a tough challenge after being paired with Swansea City in the Capital One Cup quarter-finals.

Luckless Boro were handed an away tie in the competition for the twelfth time in succession following the draw made on Wednesday evening.

Premier League Swansea knocked out holders Liverpool, now managed by their former manager Brendan Rodgers, last night and next entertain the Teessiders during the week commencing 10th December.

"You get who you get in cup draws," Mowbray told the Evening Gazette. "Of course, it would have been nice to be at home. And I'm disappointed for the supporters who want to come and cheer us on. They face a long, long midweek trip to South Wales. It's a big ask to go to a Premier League club and win but we'll give it our best shot."
