Boro skipper on way back
Middlesbrough's season has received another boost with the news that skipper Rhys Williams should be back in action early next month.
The Australian international has been sidelined ever since suffering ankle ligament damage during the Capital One Cup victory at Gillingham back in August.
"I think Rhys should be about four weeks," manager Tony Mowbray told the Evening Gazette. "I'm looking forward to having him back. He looks in good fettle. He looks fit, he looks lean.
"Hopefully it won't be too much longer before we see him with his boots on out on the grass, gradually doing little bits of physical stuff and then little bits of technical stuff and, before we know it, he will be back in the team," he added. "He's a huge player for us, largely because of the versatility he will bring to our squad."
