Mowbray praises emerging talent

Middlesbrough manager Tony Mowbray continues to be impressed by summer recruit Emmanuel Ledesma.

The former QPR and Walsall midfielder once again showed well as he played his part in a couple of goals during the latest 3-1 victory against Sheffield Wednesday on Friday evening.

"Emmanuel has always shown an eye for a killer pass even though he over elaborated at times through pre-season," Mowbray told the Evening Gazette. "He is a wonderful talent with a great work ethic too: he helps the whole team out with his running back to do a shift in defence.

"I think you are seeing now out on the pitch the player we always thought he could be," he added. "He's growing into our system now and has shown he can play in a couple of different roles."
