Mowbray in line for accolade

Middlesbrough boss Tony Mowbray could be about to take the Championship Manager of the Month award.

Boro have certainly experienced an excellent month whilst winning five games and drawing their other one.

Mowbray has as a result been included in a shortlist of three candidates and alongside Millwall's Kenny Jackett and Nottingham Forest's Sean O'Driscoll.

After beginning October with a 2-2 draw against Derby County, Boro have since seen off the challenges of Watford, Brighton, Hull City,
Bolton Wanderers and neighbours Sunderland in the Capital One Cup.
