Mowbray confident over midfielder

Mowbray confident over midfielder

Middlesbrough manager Tony Mowbray remains confident of keeping on loan midfielder Josh McEachran for the remainder of the season.

The England Under-21 international has been on loan at the Riverside since August and to has date managed 23 senior appearances.

"I've had conversations with some of the Chelsea hierarchy and they're 99.9% sure he won't be recalled in January," Mowbray told BBC Tees. "Unless they have a catastrophe with injuries, I think Josh will be staying with us until the end of the season."

McEachran, 19, had a similar stint with Swansea City in the Premier League last year.
