Keeper signs new deal

Keeper signs new deal

Middlesbrough goalkeeper Connor Ripley has signed a new three-year deal and is now contracted with the club until the summer of 2015.

The England Under-21 international earned his first Boro start back in March 2011 and has since appeared at senior level on a couple more occasions.

But he is currently behind both first-choice Jason Steele and Austrian back-up Jayson Leutwiler in the selection stakes and is likely to go out on loan for further experience following a previous spell at Oxford United last year.

"It's a dream come true for me to be at this club," Ripley told Boro's official website. "I've always been a Boro supporter, my dad and all my family are Boro supporters and we always will be.

"I want to be the best I can be and hopefully that will mean playing in the Premier League for Middlesbrough against the best players in the world," he added.
