Boro missing forward duo

Boro missing forward duo

Middlesbrough will again be without strikers Scott McDonald and Ishmael Miller for the visit of Barnsley this weekend.

Manager Tony Mowbray had been optimistic that at least one of them would have recovered in time after also sitting out the latest defeat at Ipswich Town.

Miller suffered ankle ligament damage against Watford in the middle of last month while McDonald hurt his back whilst facing Leicester City a week later.

However, Miller, who is on a season-long loan from Nottingham Forest, could return on the bench for the midweek visit of Leeds United, although the following clash with Crystal Palace appears the more likely.
