Opening goal decisive says Mowbray
Tony Mowbray believes the opening goal was the defining moment of Middlesbrough's FA Cup fifth round defeat to Chelsea at the Riverside.
It arrived when Ramires' shot deflected off Fernando Torres early in the second-half. Victor Moses later added a second to make sure of a last-eight visit to Manchester United for the current European champions.
"We worked extremely hard, the team shape was good but we were undone by their first," Mowbray admitted to BBC Tees. "You could feel their quality but we stood up to it well.
"It's good for our players to play against that quality, and we didn't just sit back and defend but they're hard to break down," he added.
