No Boro deals expected

Middlesbrough boss Tony Mowbray wasn't expecting to further add to his squad ahead of today's 5pm loan deadline.

Boro currently have three players on loan in Josh McEachran (Chelsea), Ishmael Miller (Nottingham Forest) and Sammy Ameobi (Newcastle United), with all three returning to their clubs at the end of the campaign.

Mowbray also recruited free-agent Kieron Dyer on a six-month deal in January, while Boro's young midfielder Matty Dolan yesterday re-signed for Yeovil Town for the rest of the season. The 20-year-old has managed just five appearances for the Glovers after being restricted by injury since arriving at the start of the year.

"They felt we didn't get the best of the arrangement when Matty was injured," Yeovil manager Gary Johnson told BBC Sport. "It is a really wonderful gesture by Boro and I am more than happy to have Matty back. He is a quality player who will enhance the squad in the run in to the end of the season."

The Teessiders have seen their own recent injury problems ease of late and only midfielder Julio Arca is definitely out of their weekend visit to Wolverhampton Wanderers, although full-back Stuart Parnaby remains a doubt as he continues to recover from a torn hamstring.
