Defender ready for exit
Scottish defender Stephen McManus has already accepted he will be leaving Middlesbrough in the summer.
McManus has endured a difficult time at the Riverside since originally being recruited by former manager Gordon Strachan from Celtic more than three years ago.
The 30-year-old is out of contract at the end of the current campaign and is fully aware he will be moving on despite being an unused substitute for the midweek victory against Nottingham Forest.
"I was on the bench but it will be time for me to move on from Middlesbrough. I've had three years there," McManus admitted to the Northern Echo. "I've really enjoyed my time at the club, even though I've not played as regularly as I would've liked.
"That's because of circumstances and different things. Unfortunately, that's the way football goes. But I've loved my time there," he continued. "I've met some really good people and it's a really good football club that deserves to be in the Premier League."
