Former Boro defender targeted

Former Middlesbrough defender Stephen McManus is a transfer target for SPL side Hibernian.

The 30-year-old was released by the Teessiders at the end of last season following three years at the Riverside. He also spent a couple of loan spells at Bristol City over the past twelve months.

Hibs boss Pat Fenlon is searching to add to his defensive options and has identified the 6'2" one-time Scotland and Celtic skipper as one of his targets

McManus is due to visit Easter Road for talks when he returns from holiday, although there are a number of English clubs similarly keen.
