Boro consider Madrid forward

Middlesbrough are considering Real Madrid forward Javier Acuna as an option for next season.

Wide attacker Acuna scored sixteen times in 34 games during a successful loan spell at Spanish second division side Girona last term.

However, the 24-year-old hasn't managed to make a significant impact at the Bernabeu while injuries have also affected his opportunities of appearing for Madrid's reserve side.

But the Paraguayan has already attracted recent interest from England, with Bolton Wanderers, Derby County and Crystal Palace each understood to be watching his situation.
