Big opener for Boro

Middlesbrough have been handed a big game to start their season with the visit of Leicester City to the Riverside on Saturday 3rd August.

Boro then travel to the capital the following weekend to take on Charlton Athletic. That's followed by a home game with Blackpool on 17th August and a trip to FA Cup winners Wigan Athletic seven days later.

The festive period witnesses Burnley arriving on Boxing Day and the Teessiders on the road to Bolton Wanderers on New Year's Day. The visit to neighbours Leeds United is 23rd November with the return at the Riverside on 22nd February.

Barnsley provide the opponents in the last home game of the season on 26th April before a long trek to Championship newcomers Yeovil Town on the final day.
