Former midfielder joins Hibs
Former Middlesbrough midfielder Kevin Thomson has agreed to rejoin SPL side Hibernian.
The 28-year-old spent the last couple of months on loan at Easter Road after being released by Boro in January and appeared in Hibs' recent Scottish Cup final defeat to Celtic.
But now the Scot has now agreed a one-year deal with the Edinburgh club after turning down opportunities in England. He originally began his career there until moving onto Rangers for a £2m fee in January 2007.
"I'm really pleased to have agreed a deal - I always wanted to stay here," Thomson told Hibernian's official website. "There were other offers on the table from clubs down south, but I knocked them back because I had my mind set on staying with Hibs."
Meanwhile, Hibs have also snapped up former Birmingham City and Queens Park Rangers striker Rowan Vine on a similar deal.
