Former defender set for move

Former Middlesbrough defender Stephen McManus could be about to join Motherwell.

The 30-year-old centre-back left the Riverside over the summer after originally arriving from Celtic in a 1.5m deal three years ago.

McManus went on to complete more than seventy appearances for Boro and has already been training with Motherwell ahead of a potential move to Fir Park.

The Scottish international previously had a couple of loan stints at Bristol City after struggling to earn inclusion under Tony Mowbray and following more than a decade at Celtic.
