Strongest group yet - Mowbray

Strongest group yet - Mowbray

Manager Tony Mowbray believes he has the best Middlesbrough squad at his disposal since coming back to the club.

Boro have experienced a reasonable start to their campaign following their summer rebuilding programme and actually remain unbeaten in the league since an opening day loss to Leicester City.

"As a group of staff we think this is the best group of players we have had since we have been here," Mowbray told Boro's official website. "I'm basing that on their togetherness and bond between them.

"Ultimately, that bond goes a long way to picking up points in tight games," he continued. "You have to ally that to talent, of course, and I'm pretty happy with this group."
