'If It's Football, It's Vital'

No late show please

Middlesbrough head coach Aitor Karanka will be keen to avoid conceding any further late goals against Brighton this weekend.

That has cost careless Boro three vital points in their last couple of away games at Derby County and Birmingham City, with a draw and victory suddenly being replaced by a defeat and draw during the final moments. Karanka certainly won't want a repeat in his second home game in charge on Saturday.

"The late goals have been very disappointing," he admitted to
Boro's official website. "One of the best things since I've been here is the support we've had from our people, at home against Bolton and at Leeds, Derby and Birmingham. I'm sad for them because they deserve more and we have to try to give them more this weekend.

"We're working to make sure it doesn't happen again," Karanka promised. "But it's not good when you play well and put in everything on the pitch and lose points in the last minute."
