Hignett returns to Boro

Hignett returns to Boro

Craig Hignett has completed a swift return to former club Middlesbrough as their new assistant head coach.

It follows the 44-year-old previously leaving the Riverside to take up the same role at Hartlepool United.

Ten months ago Hignett was working as a youth coach at Boro until deciding to follow Colin Cooper to Victoria Park.

The arrival of Hignett, who scored 48 times in 194 games for the Teessiders during the nineties, means Jamie Clapham returns to his former role of academy coach.
