Home start for Boro

Middlesbrough have been handed a home start for the new season of Championship football.

After dramatically avoiding relegation on the final day of the previous campaign, Birmingham City arrive at the Riverside on Saturday 9th August.

Boro then travel to old rivals Leeds United seven days later while Nottingham Forest are their visitors on Boxing Day.

The Teessiders eventually complete their programme at home to Brighton at the start of May and immediately following trips to relegated Norwich City and Fulham.
