Fantastic opportunity says newcomer

Newcomer James Husband has expressed his delight after joining Middlesbrough from Doncaster Rovers.

The 20-year-old defender made his debut in the latest pre-season win over Hartlepool United and even provided an assist following the break.

"It's been a bit of a long process but finally everything's cleared up and I got some game time last night which I'm happy about," Husband told Boro's official website. "It wasn't a difficult decision when it came to moving here. As soon as I heard Boro were interested I was desperate to force the move through because it`s a fantastic opportunity for me.

"The style of football here is completely different to Doncaster but hopefully I'll thrive on it," he added. "I've met the lads over the last few days at the training ground and I'm looking forward to working with the Gaffer and his staff."
