Keeper in for Boro

Middlesbrough have signed Chelsea goalkeeper Jamal Blackman on loan.

The England Under-19 international arrives at the Riverside until 17th January. Highly-rated Blackman, 20, only agreed a new five-year deal at Stamford Bridge a couple of months ago.

It follows Boro shot-stopper Jason Steele joining Championship rivals Blackburn Rovers on a season-long loan.

The Teessiders earlier recruited forward pair Yanic Wildschut and Jelle Vossen on a busy day of transfer activity.

Boro struck early when David Nugent headed in a cross from debutant Brazilian full-back Fabio, who though almost immediately limped out of the action.

That was cancelled out as Julien de Sart deflected Scott Malone's 54th minute effort into his own net.

With no further goals in normal time the contest moved into an added half-hour - and Lasse Vigen Christen
