Disappointment for Boro boss

Disappointment for Boro boss

Middlesbrough head coach Steve Agnew could only express his disappointment following the narrow 2-1 home loss to Arsenal.

Striker Alvaro Negredo had cancelled out Alexis Sanchez's first-half free-kick but Mesut Ozil later ensured it would be the visitors taking away maximum points.

"We are bitterly disappointed with the result but the players gave everything they had," Agnew told BBC Sport. "We couldn't ask more of them.

"We played on the front foot, put them under pressure," he added. "I felt we might get the second goal after Negredo scored. The ball just wouldn't drop in the box for us. We put them under tremendous pressure."
