Keeper completes move

Goalkeeper Connor Ripley has joined Championship rivals Burton Albion on a season-long loan.

That follows the 24-year-old shot-stopper today agreeing a new three-year deal at the Riverside having already had earlier loan spells with both Motherwell and Oldham Athletic.

"I'm delighted to have signed an extended contract with my hometown club and very grateful to have the chance to play in the Championship with Burton," Ripley told Boro's official website. "I'd like to think I've learned quickly and will continue to develop at a good level with another good club this season.

"My focus is of course with Burton, but the first result I'll look for after the games will be Boro's."
