Bolton Wanderers v Middlesbrough

Middlesbrough face a trip to Bolton Wanderers on Saturday afternoon (kick-off 3.00pm).

The visitors have the option of introducing latest signings Ryan Shotton and Marvin Johnson on their return to action following the international break.

However, Rudy Gestede is sidelined due to a sudden thigh operation, although fellow forward Martin Braithwaite could be back in training next week.

Winger Craig Noone may earn a debut for the hosts having signed from Cardiff City, while former Boro duo David Wheater and Sammy Ameobi could both return

But Jem Karacan [ankle] and Will Buckley [hamstring] are doubtful for the side currently bottom of the table following two draws from their opening five games.
