Middlesbrough are hosting fellow promotion-hopefuls Ipswich Town at the Riverside on Saturday afternoon (kick-off 3.00pm).

The Teessiders have Spanish centre-back Daniel Ayala returning after serving a one-match suspension following his recent sending-off against Derby County.

Meanwhile, striker Rudy Gestede (thigh) is also in contention having finally made his comeback during the 2-1 defeat at Bristol City.

The visitors similarly have skipper Luke Chambers and midfielder Flynn Downes now available from a couple of disciplinary bans.

However, Tom Adeyemi (hamstring) and David McGoldrick (groin) are still ruled, while defender Tommy Smith (calf) is another recent absentee.

But striker Joe Garner has managed to shake-off a foot injury, although midfielders Luke Hyam and Andre Dozzell are currently sidelined from knee surgery.
