Middlesbrough v Reading

Middlesbrough are meeting Reading at the Riverside on Saturday afternoon (kick-off 3.00pm).

Striker Rudy Gestede has seen his three-game suspension lifted following his sending-off against Norwich City and is therefore available.

Otherwise, Brazilian full-back Fabio requires a fitness check on a thigh problem.

Latest newcomers Mo Besic, Martin Cranie and Jack Harrison were all left on the bench last time out and will be hopeful of an opportunity.

The Royals have on loan centre-back Tommy Elphick ruled out for the next six weeks following knee surgery, with John Swift (hamstring) and Omar Richards (hamstring) both still recovering.

Skipper Paul McShane (hamstring) and Jordan Obita (knee) remain sidelined, while on loan striker Chris Martin could receive his first start.
