Birmingham City v Middlesbrough

Middlesbrough travel to Birmingham City and immediately come up against their former boss Garry Monk this evening (kick-off 7.45pm).

The 38-year-old ex-Leeds United and Swansea City chief takes charge for the first time have replaced the recently sacked Steve Cotterill at St Andrew's.

Boro are without skipper Grant Leadbitter, who begins a two-game suspension following his tenth booking of the season.

Otherwise, striker Rudy Gestede and full-back Fabio remain sidelined for the visitors.

The Blues approach the contest on the back of five straight league defeats - and were reporting no new injury concerns for the game.

However, David Davis [knee], Isaac Vassell [knee] and former Boro defender Jonathan Grounds [medial ligament] are currently unavailable.
