Boro in late, late show

Lukas Jutkiewicz scored two late goals to avoid Middlesbrough from being embarrassed by League Two Aldershot Town in their FA Cup fourth round tie at the Riverside.

Boro were forced to wait until seven minutes from the end for Jutkiewicz to break the deadlock with a header but Danny Hylton then snatched an 89th minute equaliser. However, Jutkiewicz ran through to add his second of the contest deep into added time to eventually send his side through.

Hylton actually curled an early free-kick over for the visitors while Merouane Zemmama forced a low save from Jamie Young in reply. He also delivered an inviting free-kick for Nicky Bailey to head wide before Marvin Emnes squared for Stuart Parnaby to again extend Young.

The Shots keeper then went full-length to deny Zemmama while Jutkiewicz hooked over on the turn just before the break. The same player also cleared the target upon the restart before substitute Emmanuel Ledesma couldn't find sufficient power to seriously trouble the admirable Young, who later thwarted Jutkiewicz, Rhys Williams and Ledesma again.

But he was finally beaten when Adam Reach crossed from the right for Jutkiewicz to head home with just seven minutes remaining, only for Hylton to immediately slide a low finish under Jason Steele and equalise from Danny Rose's cross.

But with six minutes of added time already showing on the clock, Jutkiewicz burst through the middle and drilled low across the keeper to finally settle the contest with the aid of an upright.
